Leaving Home — The Life and Music of Indian Ocean, as its makers claim, is India’s first music film to be released nationally. To call it simply a full-length documentary would be naïve and unfair. The story told is a familiar one, describing free spirits and their dreams which are often labeled as fallacies. The documentary starts with the struggle-filled, beautiful streets of Delhi – a metaphor for the journey that the band embarked upon 19 years ago.
