Don’t think you’re the only one who experienced a feeling of déjà vu just after seeing the posters for Percy Jackson & the Olympians. The movie is directed by Chris Columbus, of the Harry Potter franchise fame. Percy Jackson is based on the fantasy adventure book The Lighting Thief by Rick Riordan. The movie revolves around Percy (played by Logan Lerman), a gangly teenager with ADHD and dyslexia, who is lovable for most parts. Percy realises his true lineage as a demigod as the movie progresses. His father is Poseidon, the Greek sea-god, played by a miscast Kevin McKidd. Zeus (Sean Bean) is convinced that Poseidon’s son on earth has stolen his lightning bolt. It is now up to Percy, his satyr (Brandon T. Jackson) and Athena’s demigod daughter to prove his innocence.....
